Dreams, desires, ambitions, plans…

we all have them, some of us achieve them, and some don’t.

So what stops us? One of the reasons we could be struggling in this area is space, more specifically, lack thereof. Have you ever noticed when you have a big goal, ten things, usually little, annoying, unimportant distractions pop-up, and steal your attention. You need to make space! So how do you create space mentally? Here are a few tips to get you started:

  1. Block off time for tasks that are designated to what matters.

    Treat this like a Doctor’s appointment. Mark it in your calendar. Don’t let anything steal away from this time.

  2. Close your world off from distraction during this chunk of time.

    Turn your phone to Airplane Mode. Close your office door. Turn on a white noise machine to drown out the kids in the background. You know what your distractions are. Take proactive steps to mitigate them.

  3. Don’t eat the elephant all in one sitting.

    Listen to your mind. When you need a break, take it, then come back and you will be refreshed and knock that goal out of the park.

You are capable of great things! Make room in your mind and in your world to achieve all your dreams!
